Our Story
Ten years ago we set out to create a production company based on our passions - creativity, authenticity, fresh ideas and outdoor adventure.
And so it began.
It all started in 2014 on a small island in northern Greece. GlobalShots was created by Bethany and Jay - two adventurous creatives both passionate about film and photography. With notebooks full of big ideas and the drive to do what they love for a living, this saw the birth of their own production company.
A decade later GlobalShots is one of the leading production companies working with some of the biggest outdoor lifestyle brands. We’ve grown to become a small team of conscious creatives who bring imagination, energy and joy into everything we do. Bethany and Jay still head up the team today and handle all projects in-house.

Meet the Founders
Bethany Mercer
Co Founder and Creative Producer
Bethany at a glance: A vibrant blend of artistry and ideas, Bethany brings joy and creativity to every shoot to form lasting impressions with clients. Whether she's storyboarding initial concepts, writing shot lists, creating shoot plans or organising the crew on location - her down to earth nature and remarkable dedication infuse a unique flair into her work. Bethany heads up our 'Female Collective' and is passionate about empowering women within the creative industry.
Career Highlights: Being interviewed on live TV about 'Beyond the Pistes' the documentary she produced. Filming an international road biking race in SA from a very tiny helicopter and from the back of a huge motorbike! Making the 'here's one I made earlier' whilst working at BBC's Blue Peter. Producing shoots for her dream clients including Berghaus, The Wave and Cotswold Outdoors.
Loves: Travelling, windsurfing, painting, map reading, collecting shells, dancing, beautiful buildings, new sketchbooks, bookshops, pots of tea, sunshine, campervan adventures, second-hand finds. When not working can be found planning her next adventure or painting in the sunshine.
Jay Haysey
Co Founder and DP
Jay at a glance: Known for his passion for adventure and the outdoors, Jay's video and photography work reflects his immersive approach to capturing moments. His keen eye and inquisitive nature enable him to seize authentic interactions and movements that might otherwise go unnoticed. Jay thrives off adventure and is in his element when shooting in ocean waves, filming skiers at speed or running after mountain bikes. No weather is too wild, no location too remote - he will happily do what it takes to get the shot.
Career Highlights: DP filming Lewis Hamilton in a derelict church in Spain for Puma. Being on location in Maui filming windsurfers on the waves from a Helicopter. Filming the French Ski Patrol team set off avalanches for the Documentary he filmed and directed. Jay has worked with some of the leading brands in their respected industries including Puma, Berghaus, Mercedes F1, Porsche, Musto Clothing and Salomon to name just a few.
Loves: Coffee, surfing, travel, wildcamping, his greenhouse, spontaneity, snacks, sunshine, waves, adrenaline, mountains, nutella crepes. When not working can be found drinking coffee, checking the waves or enjoying downtime in his greenhouse.
